👋 Hi! I am Mr Tham, a Math Coach, founder and Principal Tutor of Thinkers Cap Education

When students come to us for math coaching, most of them face a common challenge – Weak Algebra Foundation Concepts. The gap from Modeling Method to Algebra is a sudden and massive transition that can create challenges and difficulties for Sec 1 students. 👼

🧐 And that led to us creating our signature P6- Sec 1 Algebra bridging workshop to help P6 students transit from Modeling method to Algebra concepts in a seamless way 💡

Through this workshop, students will learn basic manipulation of algebraic expressions that will enable them to adapt to the Secondary Math curriculum. Students will learn how to:-

• Use letters to represent numbers
• Evaluate of algebraic expressions and formulae
• Translate simple real-world situations into algebraic expressions
• Operate linear algebraic terms and expressions
• Simplifying of linear algebraic expressions
• Solving equation in one unknown

About the Tutor:

The course will be conducted by Mr Tham, the founder and Principal Tutor in The Thinkers Cap. Mr Tham is a former NIE trained teacher with more than 10 years of experience coaching students in Sec/IB/IP/JC Math and Physics.

His teaching philosophy is to engage students through real life applications so that they can master the critical thinking skills needed to excel in Math.
